Originally from Vanuatu Myriam studied Fine Arts at Sydney University in the late 60s, then design at Sydney College of the Arts. After a professional life in graphic design, Myriam decided to resurrect an old dream and moved to the Kangaroo Valley, NSW in 2004, to paint full time.

Her work has been mainly figurative and representational. She has been accepted as a finalist in the Portia Geach Portrait Prize twice in the past years when she has entered. She continues to hone her skills by occasionally attending various art institutions such as the NY School of Visual Arts, the Julian Ashton School Sydney, the NY Studio School and more recently, the London Slade School of Fine Arts - the wandering perennial student!
