COURTNEY YOUNG
Courtney Young grew up on the far south coast of NSW and is now living near Rutherglen, Victoria on Bpangerang Country. She is an artist and regenerative farmer who holds a Bachelor of Environments from the University of Melbourne. With a background in environmental restoration, Young is interested in making work that challenges prevailing colonial approaches to understanding and perceiving the landscape.
Young has participated in various group shows across Australia and recently held her first solo show in Wangaratta, Victoria. She shows through AK Bellinger Gallery, Gallery Raye and Beechworth Contemporary Art Gallery. She is currently working towards a joint show with Beth Thornber at Wangaratta Art Gallery and a solo show with Murray Art Museum Albury in 2023.
